Basketball for Life Skills (BASKI)

The modern way of life of young people, the rapid evolution of sciences and technology and also the industrialization of sport are a few of the factors that have caused sports to have been downgraded from school education.

BASKI project will promote education in and through sport with special focus on skills development, as well as support the implementation of the EU Guidelines on Dual Careers of Athletes.

Objectives

Development of a training program for basketball coaches, sports educators and education decision makers on how to promote basketball among primary school students as a medium of life skills development.

Actions/Outputs

Delivery of all online learning components and interactive tools of the project such as online training modules, multimedia content, communication and collaboration tools, mini games, and resource bank.

Results

The training packages will provide pedagogical methods, tools, policy adaption guidelines as well as outdoor lesson plans to be used by the relevant stakeholders in sports and education.
